Kelsey Dawson Walton

Kelsey Dawson Walton is the Chair of the School Board at Osseo Area Schools. Prior to their current role, they served as the Countywide Strategic Engagement Coordinator at Hennepin County from July 2017 to January 2020. In this role, they were responsible for leading community engagement and partnerships for the Penn Avenue Community Works Project. From May 2013 to July 2017, Kelsey was the Community Partnership and Engagement Lead for the Penn Avenue Community Works Project. Prior to their work at Hennepin County, Kelsey worked as a Policy Aide in the Office of Commissioner Dorfman from July 2009 to May 2013.

Kelsey Dawson Walton graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas in 2006. Kelsey went on to earn their Master of Arts in Public Policy and Leadership from the same school in 2008.
