Ivan Simões Gaspar

Ivan Simões Gaspar has a diverse work experience in the field of wireless communications. Ivan began their career as a Technical Supervisor at Hitachi Kokusai Linear in 2003, where they worked until 2011. Following this, they served as a Lecturer at Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações - Inatel from 2008 to 2011. In 2012, they joined Vodafone Chair Mobile Communications Systems as a Research Associate and worked there until 2016. Ivan then transitioned to Intel Corporation, working as a Wireless System Engineer from 2016 to 2018. Ivan further developed their expertise at Intel Labs, where they served as a Research Scientist from 2018 to 2021. Ivan's most recent positions include being a Principal Wireless Architect at Microsoft from 2021 to 2023 and currently holding the role of Principal Wireless System Engineer at Ossia Inc. since May 2023.

Ivan Simões Gaspar holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden. Ivan also has a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações - Inatel. In addition, they have a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera. Furthermore, they have completed a program in Electronic Technician at Escola Técnica de Eletrônica "Francisco Moreira da Costa" from 1995 to 1997, specializing in Telecommunications Technology/Technician.
