Matt Ryll

Matt Ryll is the Senior Manager of Donor Field Services at Ossium Health. Matt has been in this role for 1 year and 8 months. Prior to Ossium Health, Matt worked at New England Donor Services for 6 years and 11 months. At New England Donor Services, Matt held various roles including Manager of Tissue Recovery, Tissue Recovery Field Trainer, and Tissue Recovery Specialist. In these roles, Matt was responsible for developing and presenting monthly meeting and training content for all tissue and organ recovery teams. Matt also provided mentoring and coaching to new and experienced staff. Additionally, Matt participated in budget planning for Tissue Donation Services and led multiple projects including the staffing model, quality improvement, and safety. As a Clinical field trainer for organ and tissue recovery specialists, Matt developed training plans for new hires, low performers, and continuing education. Matt also created and implemented new evaluation forms to assess tissue recovery staff and utilized data and reporting tools to consistently evaluate TRS recovery data. In their role as the Tissue Recovery designee for the safety team, Matt collaborated with the Safety Officer and Recovery Specialists to lower sharps injuries. Matt was also one of the top 3 Tissue Recovery Specialist for 36 months in all facets of recovery metrics: Tissue quality, error rates, documentation error rates. In their role as a Recovery Specialist, Matt was responsible for the recovery, packaging, and shipping of tissues in accordance with NEDS Standard Operating Procedures, FDA Good Tissue Practices, AATB Standards, and processor specific SOP’s. Matt was also responsible for completing medical chart and DRAI (Donor Risk Assessment Interview) reviews, along with a complete head to toe physical assessment prior to tissue recovery.

Matt Ryll has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in Psychology which they obtained in 2008. Matt also has an education from Bishop Stang High School which they obtained in 2004.
