Sergio Buarque de Gusmão

Sergio Buarque de Gusmão has a long history of working in various roles in the corporate world. Sergio began their career in 1983 as a Corporate Relationship Manager at Citibank. Sergio then moved to J.P. Morgan in 1990, where they served as a Corporate Relationship Manager and was responsible for the development of the Global Market Sales area. In 1992, they became Executive VP at Centro de Combate ao Câncer and was responsible for overall management including all financial, commercial, administrative, marketing, human resources and quality control areas. In 1993, they co-founded Seta Consultoria Empresarial and Studio Interativo Informação Visual. In 1998, they co-founded Carcop do Brasil and was in charge of the overall implementation and management of the company in Brazil. In 2006, they co-founded Oncopartners and provided site management and clinical trial management services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and CROs globally. In 2016, they co-founded OTAWA Health and in 2018, they co-founded FROTANET. In 2019, they co-founded Cantera I OnixCann.

Sergio Buarque de Gusmão began their education in 1970 at Colegio Padre Antonio Vieira in Rio de Janeiro, where they completed their high school studies in 1979. Sergio then attended Colegio Bahiense in Rio de Janeiro from 1980 to 1981, also completing their high school studies. From 1982 to 1986, they attended Faculdade Candido Mendes, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. In 1986, they participated in the Citibank International Management Program in Florida, USA, studying Banking and Corporate Finance. Finally, in 1990, they attended AOTS in Tokyo, Japan, for a Program for Cross Cultural Management in International Management.
