Thijs Bakker

Thijs Bakker serves as a Board Member at Oterra since October 2023, contributing to the company's position as the largest provider of naturally sourced colors globally. Since September 2016, Thijs has held the role of Group Chief Financial Officer at Azelis, overseeing the finance and IT functions for a global organization with over 1,700 employees. Additionally, Thijs is a member of the Curatorium Board at Erasmus University Rotterdam and has extensive prior experience at AkzoNobel Marine and Protective Coatings, where the finance function was led for over 2,500 employees across various positions, including sBU Director Control Marine Coatings and Finance Director Car Refinishes Asia. Earlier career steps included the role of Regional Controller Asia Pacific at Nuplex Resins. Thijs holds a Post Graduate Degree in Finance & Control from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a Master of Science in Economics from the same institution, along with additional educational credentials from INSEAD.
