Cosmin Mihalcea

Cosmin Mihalcea is a seasoned professional in data warehousing and business intelligence with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as DWH Development Chapter Lead and BI & DWH Developer at OTP Bank Romania since November 2019, Cosmin has played a key role in implementing a new Data Warehouse, focusing on migrating financial datamarts and reconciling data. Prior to this, Cosmin was a Data Warehouse Engineer at Tremend Software Consulting, contributing to key projects related to PSD2 and Apple Pay integration. Experience also includes MIS Reporting Programmer at Banca Transilvania, where data migration processes were managed, and DWH&BI Developer at Bancpost, developing reports and software applications while providing robust support for existing systems. Cosmin began career at Topo Live Engineering as an economist, ensuring legislative compliance in financial evaluations. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in OLTP/OLAP Databases and ETL processes from Academia de Studii Economice din București and a Bachelor's degree in Economic Science from Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu.
