Nate Alkire

Nate Alkire is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching mathematics and science. Currently teaching 7th and 8th grade math under the Common Core curriculum at Otsego Middle School since August 2016, Nate also leads the STREAM School program. In addition, Nate has been involved with the FuturePREP Program, specifically the iChallengeUth initiative, which prepares students to address real-world issues through collaboration with local industry partners. Past roles include serving as an educator at Hamilton Community Schools, where Nate contributed to the creation of STREAM School, and various coaching positions at Otsego High School, where Nate developed competitive training programs in basketball. Nate's educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Hope College and a Master’s in Educational Technology from Western Michigan University.
