Scott McDougall has extensive work experience in the field of education and coaching. Scott started their career as a Volunteer 3rd-5th Grade Basketball Coach at Grandville Public Schools in 2008. Scott then worked as a Tournament Coordinator at Rec Sports from 2011 to 2012, where they managed operations and oversaw multiple employees. McDougall then transitioned to Grandville Public Schools again, this time as an Assistant Football Coach in 2012, where they focused on teaching athletes the fundamentals of the game and emphasizing the importance of teamwork and community involvement.

In 2013, McDougall moved on to Ferris State University as an Assistant Football Coach until 2017, where they continued to develop their coaching skills. Scott then joined Northern Michigan University as an Assistant Football Coach from 2017 to 2022, further enhancing their coaching expertise. Following this, they became a PE Teacher & Football Coach at Elkhart Community Schools in 2022, and currently holds the position of Head Football Coach and PE Teacher at Otsego Public Schools starting in 2023.
