Yas Ohkubo has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academia, currently serving as a Principal, Director, Senior Manager, and Scientist at 大塚製薬株式会社 since January 2008. Previously, Yas held the position of Associate Director at 大塚製薬株式会社 from April 2016 to December 2017. In the academic realm, Yas was an Associate Research Scientist/Junior Faculty at Yale University School of Medicine focusing on Neural Regeneration in the CNS from January 2001 to December 2007 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF specializing in Cortical Patterning and Developmental Neurology between December 1996 and December 2000.
