Adrian van Wyk

Adrian van Wyk is a professional planner with diverse experience in urban planning and heritage conservation. Currently serving as Planner I - Development Review at the City of Ottawa since November 2020, Adrian reviews applications for various planning processes and provides recommendations to the Planning and Housing Committee. Previously held the position of Planner I - Heritage and Urban Design, focusing on heritage permit applications and conducting historical research for property designations. Prior experience includes Assistant Planner at the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, and Urban Design Co-Op Student at the City of Ottawa, along with retail management roles at Saje Natural Wellness and Starbucks. Adrian holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Laws from Nelson Mandela University.
