Cyril Rogers has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Cyril began their career as a Financial Advisor at Nortel (BookHam Tech) in 2000 and later became a Finance Manager at Alcatel-Lucent from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, they worked as a Site Finance Prime at RIM for a year. Cyril then joined Telus Health and Financial Services as a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, they transitioned to the City of Ottawa, where they held various positions, including Deputy City Treasurer Financial Strategies, Planning and Client Services, Manager of Financial Services, Strategy, Planning and Budgeting, and Chief Financial Officer of the Ottawa Police Services. Most recently, they served as Acting Chief Financial Officer and Acting General Manager/Chief Financial Officer of the Finance and Corporate Services Department at the City of Ottawa.
Cyril Rogers has a strong education history in the field of accounting. From 2003 to 2006, they attended the Certified Management Accountants of Ontario and obtained a CPA, CMA degree in Accounting. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1999, Cyril studied Business Administration at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Cyril has also acquired additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2022, Cyril completed the CFO Academy program at Deloitte. In 2021, they obtained an Intercultural Development Inventory profile from the Canadian Centre for Diversity & Inclusion. In 2019, Cyril obtained a Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership from the Schulich School of Business - York University.
