Alan Mears has extensive experience in research, currently serving as a Research Associate at both the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario since May 2013 and the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since April 2010, where also holds the position of Adjunct Professor. Prior to these roles, Alan Mears worked as a Research Investigator at the University of Michigan from October 1999 to May 2003. Alan Mears earned a PhD in Genetics from the University of Alberta between 1989 and 1995 and obtained a BSc in Genetics from the University of Leeds from 1986 to 1989.
