Mia Sapin is a Graduate Student Researcher at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since September 2021, under the supervision of Dr. Derek MacFadden. Prior to this role, Mia worked as a Service Agent at Élections Canada in August 2021 and as a Clinical Research Recruiter at LMC Healthcare from October 2020 to May 2021, where assistance was provided in managing and recruiting participants for COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials in Quebec and Ontario. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Queen's University from September 2019 to April 2020, focusing on theory of mind and social functioning, and working at Jules Cafe Patisserie from May 2017 to December 2019 as both Assistant Manager and Barista. Mia holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Ottawa (2021-2023), a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research from Seneca Polytechnic (2020-2021), and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Life Sciences from Queen's University (2016-2020), with additional study at The University of Queensland in 2019.
