Haidy Magdi

Haidy Magdi has a diverse range of work experience spanning different industries and roles. Haidy currently works as a Community Engagement Officer at Ottawa Public Health - Santé publique Ottawa. In this role, they are responsible for engaging with the community and promoting public health initiatives.

Prior to their current position, Haidy worked at The Virtues Project as a Facilitator of Virtues Project Workshops. Haidy facilitated workshops to promote virtues and personal development.

From 2018 to 2021, Haidy held the position of Patient Services Officer and Interpreter at United Family Healthcare. Their responsibilities included interacting with patients and healthcare professionals, removing language barriers, and promoting hospital services.

Haidy also worked as an English Teacher at Lanlian No.1 High School from 2016 to 2019. Haidy developed curricula, conducted cultural activities, and evaluated students' performance.

Furthermore, Haidy worked as a Translator/Voice Over and Dubbing Talent at China Central Television - Arabic Channel from 2011 to 2016. Haidy translated television content and provided voice-over and dubbing services.

Haidy also has experience as an Arabic-English Interpreter for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, from 2010 to 2016.

In addition, Haidy worked as an Arabic and English Teacher at Lanzhou Foreign Languages College - Polytechnic College - Northwest University For Nationalities from 2003 to 2010.

Lastly, they briefly held the position of General Manager at In Search of Gems Kindergarten from 2008 to 2009, where they established and managed the kindergarten.
