Steven Afalla

Head of Manufacturing at Otto Aviation

Steven Afalla has a diverse work experience beginning in 2004. Steven worked as a Mechanic/Service Technician at Jays Repair from 2004 to 2006. Steven then joined the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant from 2006 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, they were the Director of Product Development at Majestic Pet Products, Inc. and Majestic Home Goods, Inc. In 2015, they became the Crew Chief and Mechanical Designer at Otto Aviation, where they managed and supervised a large crew and was responsible for disassembling, repairing, and reassembling aircraft systems, as well as completing all repairs and maintenance work to company and FAA standards.

Steven Afalla obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from The Art Institutes between 2011 and 2015. In 2019, they completed an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan Executive Education. In 2006 and 2007, they attended Naval Justice School. In addition, they have obtained certifications from Coursera, 360training, International Air Transport Association (IATA), and Midfield Aviation. These certifications include Python for Everybody Specialization, OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach, Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) Flight Crew and Load Planners, Category 10, and Student, Private Aircraft Pilot.
