Lorell Morales-Vergara

Lorell Morales-Vergara, MPH, currently serves as the Community Health Lead at Ounce of Care since November 2023. Previously, Lorell worked as a Refugee Care Connector at Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area from April to November 2023, providing health orientations on various healthcare topics to refugees. From November 2022 to April 2023, Lorell acted as a Public Health Advisor at Caduceus Healthcare Inc., supporting the CDC's emergency Ebola response at Dulles International Airport, including supervising surveillance screenings and managing a contractor staff team. Additional experience includes a student internship at the CDC Miami Quarantine Station and various roles in public health support, research, and customer service. Lorell holds a Master of Public Health in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from FIU Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of South Florida.
