Jonathan Alme

Jonathan Alme has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries.

In their most recent role as VP of Engineering at OurFamilyWizard, they oversee the engineering department and has developed technical roadmaps and implemented release automation strategies. Prior to this, they served as Senior Director of Engineering and Director of Engineering, where they led cross-platform product teams and mentored other managers.

Before joining OurFamilyWizard, Alme was the Head of Tech at Joshin, where they worked closely with the executive team on strategy and managed a team of engineers. Jonathan also contributed to product development and growth strategies.

Previous to that, Alme worked at When I Work as the Director of Engineering, Senior Engineering Manager, and Engineering Manager. Jonathan led multiple product teams, developed OKRs and agile roadmaps, and managed a cross-functional team during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jonathan also managed engineers in the clock-in/clock-out and notifications feature areas, and led the growth and marketing team.

Alme's earlier experiences include working as a Software Engineer at SportsEngine, an Engineering Manager and Team Lead at Workfront, a Software/Electrical Engineer at Northern Valley Machine, Inc., and a Co-Founder at Field of View. Jonathan also had a Graduate Research Assistantship at UASE Laboratory and worked as a Portfolio Committee Manager and Fund Manager at Dakota Venture Group. Additionally, they gained valuable experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Laserlith.

Jonathan Alme pursued higher education in the field of electrical engineering. From 2004 to 2009, they attended the University of North Dakota and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). Subsequently, they enrolled in the same university and completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree program from 2009 to 2011, specializing in Electrical Engineering and Entrepreneurship.
