Study Support Centre Supervisor at Our Future Health

Gigi McGaughey has a diverse work experience spanning various fields. In 2018, they served as a Campaign Intern for Essence Johnson for House District 45, where they played a key role in coordinating community events, conducting voter outreach through phone banking and canvassing, and organizing voter registration drives. In the same year, they also worked as a Conference Assistant and Undergraduate Researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology, where they provided customer service, assisted residents, and conducted independent research projects.

In 2019, Gigi McGaughey served as an Undergraduate Researcher at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, where they focused on studying microbial iron respiration. Gigi'sresponsibilities included DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, gas chromatography measurements, and field work assistance.

From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Project Management Intern at Eagle Telemedicine, overseeing preparations for Joint Commission accreditation, conducting business development research, and designing a new telemedicine operations system for launch.

In 2021, Gigi McGaughey was a Laboratory Technician at One Health Labs, performing COVID-19 diagnostic tests and routine laboratory support tasks.

In 2022, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Brighton, where they explored the efficiency of the skimmed-milk flocculation method to concentrate MS2 bacteriophage. Gigi also conducted standardized double-agar tests to quantify plaque-forming units.

Currently, Gigi McGaughey holds the position of Study Support Centre Supervisor at Our Future Health UK, where they oversee the centre's operations, responds to queries, troubleshoots technical issues, and analyzes data to improve service processes.

Gigi McGaughey began their education in 2017 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2020. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Global Health at the Brighton and Sussex Medical School from 2021 to 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Gigi McGaughey holds certifications in Advanced Wilderness First Aid from the Nantahala Outdoor Center, as well as Mandated Reporter Training and QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) from the Georgia Division of Family & Children Services and the QPR Institute, respectively. The months and years of obtaining the latter two certifications are not specified.
