Michael Cook

Michael Cook has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research. Michael currently holds the position of Executive Director of Science at Our Future Health UK since May 2021. In addition, they are also an Honorary Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford since May 2021. Prior to these roles, they worked at the National Cancer Institute, where they held various positions including Tenured Principal Investigator from October 2019 to April 2021, Principal Investigator from June 2011 to April 2021, Research Fellow from August 2008 to June 2011, and Postdoctoral Fellow from February 2007 to August 2008.

Michael Cook attended the University of Nottingham from 2000 to 2003, where they pursued a BSc (Hons) degree in Genetics. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Leeds from 2003 to 2006, completing a PhD in Molecular Epidemiology. Additionally, in 2004, they obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Sciences from the University of Leeds.
