Our Minds Matter
Nijha Young is a BA in Journalism graduate from Ithaca College, with a diverse background in communications and media. Currently serving as a Program Fellow at Our Minds Matter since August 2023, Nijha previously held roles including Communications Intern at Friends of UNFPA, IDEAS Peer Educator at the Center for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Social Change, and Copyeditor at The Ithaca Times and The Ithacan. In addition, Nijha hosted The Moon Rises Too Podcast and worked as a Newscaster at WICB 91.7 FM. Nijha gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant for Elementary Italian II at Ithaca College and contributed as an Assistant Producer and Correspondent for Ithaca College Television. Educational background includes graduating from Baldwin Senior High School in 2019.

Our Minds Matter
Our Minds Matter (OMM), formerly the Josh Anderson Foundation (JAF) is a non-profit organization working toward the day when no teenager turns to suicide as the answer. OMM's mission is to provide adolescents with mental health education, resources and support so they never die by suicide.
