Markus Paasovaara

Markus Paasovaara is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at ŌURA since August 2022, Markus focuses on enhancing sensing features related to health metrics for Oura members. Prior roles include Chief Technology Officer at Barona, where Markus oversaw technology and architecture solutions, and Data Engineer at Futurice, where expertise in modern microservices and cloud architectures was applied. Markus has also managed teams and projects at MultiTaction and served as a Software Designer at Planmeca Oy, contributing to notable advancements in dental imaging software and IoT platforms. With a Master of Science in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the University of Oulu, Markus possesses a strong foundation in engineering principles.
