Abel Barrera Duran

Abel Barrera Duran is a Senior Analytics Engineer at Netflix since October 2022 and serves as the President of Invariant Solutions, providing tech advisory services to small businesses and startups. Abel is also a Board Member at Momentum Indy. Previously, at Meta, from August 2021 to October 2022, Abel contributed as a Senior Data Engineer within a machine learning foundation team, aiming to enhance insights for ML Engineers and product teams. Prior experience includes roles as Data Engineering Team Lead and Data Engineer at Resultant, where contributions included CI/CD automation, container orchestration, and data transformation processes, alongside experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer at International Medical Group involving advanced reporting and data analysis. Abel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Science in Data Science from Indiana University Indianapolis.
