Rae Whatley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in various roles focusing on community service, wellness, and environmental health. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for Mt. Airy Learning Tree and the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, as well as being a Regional Volunteer Leader for Outdoor Afro, Rae also practices Reiki as a Practitioner and Teacher, running Jikiden Reiki with Rae since 2018. What started as a kitchen table blog by Founder and CEO Rue Mapp in 2009 has since grown into a cutting-edge nationwide movement with 100-plus volunteer leaders in up to 60 cities. Our participation network has grown to reach 60,000 people and counting. Outdoor Afro reconnects Black people with the outdoors through outdoor education, recreation, and conservation.
