Ashley Thess is an experienced editorial professional currently serving as Assistant Gear Editor at Outdoor Life since August 2022, where in-depth testing and article editing for camping, backpacking, and hiking gear is performed. Concurrently, Ashley holds roles as Associate Editor and Assistant Editor at the National Rifle Association since March 2020, focusing on writing and editing articles that inspire and educate female firearm enthusiasts on outdoor activities, self-defense, and conservation.
