Rob McDonald

Rob McDonald is an experienced outdoor writer and content producer with a diverse portfolio that includes freelance contributions and podcast hosting. Since January 2022, Rob has served as a freelance contributing writer for Source Outdoor Group, and has been co-hosting the Great Plains Outdoors Podcast since May 2021. Additional roles include contributing writer positions at Game and Fish Magazine and the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks, both since January 2018, along with freelancing for Outdoor Life and multiple projects under Northwoods Collective. Rob has been actively involved in outdoor writing since 2017 across various platforms, including a personal blog, Modern Wild Man. Rob holds an Associate's degree in Communication from Colby Community College.
