Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Outfunnel

Raul Tammesalu has been working in the software engineering industry since 2006. Raul began their career as a Quality Assurance Intern at Skype, where they were responsible for manual testing of software on early prototypes of various Skype-enabled hardware products. Raul then became a Quality Assurance Engineer at Skype, where they coordinated and executed test cycles for various products, managed test plans, test cases and provided feedback to product managers and developers. In 2012, they moved to Microsoft, where they worked as a Software Development Engineer II on the Media Platform library component of Windows Skype client. Raul's role involved working closely with the Product Owner and other development and test engineers to continuously deliver new features and improvements to the library component. Raul then became a Software Development Engineer in Test II, where they built tools and utilities to do functional and performance testing for the component and worked closely with the UI teams using the component and engineers responsible for different modules of the library. In 2015, they joined Lingvist as a Front-End engineer, where they worked on the Lingvist Single Page App for web platform using a mix of older and modern FE technologies, such as Backbone.js and React. Finally, they are currently working as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer and a Full Stack Engineer at Outfunnel since 2019.

Raul Tammesalu attended Haapsalu Gümnaasium from 1992 to 2014, where they earned their High School degree. Raul then attended TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a BA in Informatics and Computer Science. In 2008, they obtained a Certified Software Test Engineer from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board. In 2013, they obtained a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
