Loreto Ruzzo

Loreto Ruzzo is the current General Counsel at Outline. Loreto has an extensive background in the insurance industry, having served as SVP, General Counsel, and Secretary at Ventus Risk Management, Inc. from August 2018 to August 2019. In this role, Loreto was responsible for all transactional matters and regulatory compliance, including governance processes, enhanced capitalization structure, and development of policies and procedures for adherence to cybersecurity regulation.

Prior to Ventus, Loreto served as Principal at the Law Office of Loreto J. Ruzzo from October 2013 to August 2018. In this role, Loreto provided legal counsel to clients in the insurance industry on a variety of matters including policy interpretation, coverage analysis, and claim disputes.

From October 2005 to May 2013, Loreto served as General Counsel at Hospitals Insurance Company. In this role, they were responsible for all legal matters relating to the company, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and claims handling.

Willis Re Inc. employed Loreto from September 1999 to November 2002 as their General Counsel and CAO. In this role, they were responsible for all legal matters relating to the company, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and claims handling.

Willis Corroon Corporation employed Loreto from July 1995 to September 1999 as their Deputy General Counsel. In this role they provided legal counsel on a variety of matters including policy interpretation, coverage analysis, and claim disputes.

Loreto Ruzzo graduated with a BA from St. Lawrence University and then went on to obtain an MBA and JD from Vanderbilt University.
