Aaron Foster

Aaron Foster has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and immunology. Aaron is currently the CSO at Outpace Bio since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. as the Vice President - Immunology from December 2020 to December 2022. Before joining Sana Biotechnology, Inc., Aaron served as the Senior Vice President, Head of Research at Bellicum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from February 2019 to December 2020. Aaron also held various roles at Bellicum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. including Vice President of Product Discovery from June 2016 to December 2019, Senior Director of Product Discovery from February 2015 to June 2016, Director of Product Discovery from February 2014 to February 2015, Principal Scientist from January 2013 to January 2014, and Senior Scientist from March 2012 to December 2012.

Aaron's earlier work experience includes roles at Baylor College of Medicine, where they served as an Assistant Professor from 2007 to 2012, Instructor from 2004 to 2007, and Postdoctoral Fellow from 2004 to 2005. Aaron was also a Research Associate at ICOS from 1997 to 1999, and a Technical Operator at Immunex Corporation from 1995 to 1997.

Throughout their career, Aaron has demonstrated expertise in cellular immunotherapy, gene-modified T cells, and the development of targeted T cell therapies for the treatment of cancer. Aaron has also contributed to research on nanotechnology-based immunotherapies and recombinant protein expression.

Aaron Foster earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology, General from the University of Puget Sound, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Aaron then pursued further education and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sydney, attending from 1999 to 2003.
