Outpost Summer Camps
Tia is the Systems Director and returning for her 20th summer at Outpost – making her the person who has been at Outpost the longest besides Stuart! She oversees systems related to camper medications, behavior, logistics, and human resources. She previously served Outpost as an Assistant Director, Coordinator, Senior Counselor, and Junior Counselor. Tia has a Master’s degree in Nursing from The University of San Diego and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University. Tia also holds a certificate in Public Health Nursing. During the school year, Tia works as a registered nurse for the San Diego Unified School District.

Outpost Summer Camps
Outpost Summer Camps (OSC) offers ACA-accredited Summer Day Camp programs and school-year seasonal programs located in the north inland "I-15 corridor" of San Diego, California. Our traditional summer camp programs are for children aged 3 - 14, split into three camps: Pre Camp (ages 3-5), Day Camp (grades 1-5), and Senior Outpost (grades 6-9). Our Day Camp and Senior Outpost programs are based at Canyonside Community Park in Rancho Penasquitos, adjacent to Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve, a 3700 acre wilderness preserve jointly operated by the City and County of San Diego. Our Pre Camp program is located at North City Presbyterian Church in Poway. Our summer programs are offered between mid-June and August each summer, and we employ high school and college students as camp counselors. We also offer door-to-door transportation for the majority of our camp families. OSC was founded in 2001, celebrates its 18th summer in 2019, and is privately owned and operated by Outpost Recreation and Education, Inc. Dr Kelly Jones is the Executive Director, and welcomes new parents to our programs.
