Spencer Salazar

CTO at Output

Spencer Salazar is the current Chief Technical Officer at Output, a music software company. Spencer was previously a Senior Creative Technologist at Kadenze Inc., where they developed automated audio analysis and code assessment tools for autograding assignments on Kadenze's online learning management platform. Spencer also instructed multiple online courses in creative technology. Prior to Kadenze, Spencer was a Special Faculty member at the California Institute of the Arts, where they taught primary courses in the Music Technology and Digital Arts programs related to music programming, mobile technology and music, ensemble performance, and musical instrument development. Spencer also provided individual lessons and academic advising. Spencer's experience also includes working as an Assistant Editor at Computer Music Journal, as well as being a PhD student at Stanford University, where they researched ways to improve music education through technology. Spencer also worked as a software engineer for SonicMule and MOTO Development Group.

Spencer Salazar earned their PhD in Computer Music from Stanford University and their BSE in Computer Science from Princeton University.
