Senior Software Engineer, Perception: Sensors and Integration at Outrider

Himanshu Raghuvanshi has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering field since 2016. From 2016-2018, they worked as a Research Assistant at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, where they worked under the guidance of Prof. Jyoti Singhai to detect fruit abnormalities in a conveyer belt setting. During this time, they also curated a collection of over 10,000 images and labels for training, validation and tests sets.

In 2018, Himanshu began working as a Graduate Tutor and Graduate Student Researcher at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. As a Graduate Tutor, they helped students with MATLAB and Lab sessions. As a Graduate Student Researcher, they conducted research on understanding Semantic SLAM techniques to use object classification observations from Fast-RCNN for robust loop closure. Himanshu also conducted an extensive literature survey of state-of-the-art methods in graph optimisation based SLAM and implemented two techniques for estimating unknown data association.

From 2019-2022, Himanshu worked at Outrider in various roles, including Senior Software Engineer, Perception: Sensors and Integration, Senior Software Engineer, Percpetion Platform, and Autonomous Vehicle Software Engineer.

In 2022, Himanshu began working as a Global Talent Fellow - Robotics at Open Avenues, a non-profit organization working to educate traditionally underrepresented student populations in the U. S. and inspire careers in STEM, business, and entrepreneurship.

Himanshu Raghuvanshi attended Delhi Public School, Bhopal from 2008 to 2013. Himanshu then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2017. Himanshu concluded their educational journey with a Master of Science (MS) in Robotics Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2017 to 2019.
