Max Basescu has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2013. Max began their career as an Intern at The Mount Sinai Hospital in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Software Development Intern for Axle Video, LLC. In 2015, they completed two internships, one as a Research Intern for the Autonomous Systems, Control and Optimization (ASCO) Lab and one as a Research Intern for the Locomotion in Mechanical and Biological Systems (LIMBS) Lab. In 2016, they worked as a SPUR Intern for The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. In 2017, they worked as an Intern for Whitney Blake Company. In 2018, they were hired as a Robotics Engineer for The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As of 2021, they are employed as a Senior Software Engineer, Motion Planning and Controls and a Software Engineer, Motion Planning and Controls for Outrider.

Max Basescu graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering. Max began their studies at the university in 2014.
