Jannie Theron CA(SA) has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades.

Jannie started their career as an Article Clerk at Moore Stephens BKV Inc., where they gained exposure to auditing, accounting, and tax services. Jannie also performed due diligence investigations.

After completing their articles, Jannie joined Tswelopele Publishing (Pty) Ltd as a Finance Manager for Top Billing Magazine. Jannie was responsible for setting up accounting structures and preparing business plans for funding.

Jannie then worked as a Management Accountant at GEMS Education, managing a portfolio of international schools and compiling monthly financial reports.

Jannie then joined Emap as a Corporate Analyst, working closely with the finance team in providing analytics for decision-making and producing reports for meetings.

Jannie then moved to Old Mutual, where they worked as a Finance Manager in both the Structural Insurance division and the Strategic Projects Unit. Their responsibilities included financial modeling, risk analysis, and providing financial advice for strategic initiatives.

Jannie then joined Pearson, where they held various roles over a span of ten years. Jannie started as a Business Manager, analyzing the market and presenting financial and non-financial indicators to top management. Jannie then became a Group Reporting and Analysis Manager, responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and presenting financial results to stakeholders. Jannie later became a Senior Business Performance Analyst, assisting the Business Director in developing operational and strategic financial information. Lastly, they served as the Finance Manager for Pearson Education Africa, overseeing financial operations and strategic growth.

Currently, Jannie is working as the Financial Director at Outsized (starting in 2024).

Jannie Theron CA(SA) holds an Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, which was completed in 2001. Prior to that, Jannie completed a Bachelor of Accounting degree at Stellenbosch University from 1997 to 2000. Additionally, Jannie has obtained the certification of Inclusive Learning Experience Explorer from Pearson in 2022.
