João Serpa

João Serpa has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. João is currently working as a Principal Engagement Manager at OutSystems, where they are responsible for managing and delivering innovative solutions through an agile approach. Prior to this, they worked as an Engagement Manager at OutSystems, managing multiple business sponsors and coordinating with the delivery team.

Before joining OutSystems, João served as a Professor at Universidade Europeia, where they shared their knowledge and expertise with students. João also co-founded and served as a Partner at BeeINSIGHT, a software company specializing in interactive environments and augmented reality.

Earlier in their career, João worked as a Project Manager at YDreams, overseeing project management activities and collaborating with various clients and organizations. João has also held positions as an Invited Professor at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a Research Fellow at Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil.

João's educational background includes being a PhD Student at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where they conducted research, and holding a role as an Environmental Engineer at Instituto da Água. Their extensive experience and expertise make him a valuable asset in the field of technology and project management.

João Serpa completed their Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering at Universidade Nova de Lisboa from 1991 to 1997. Subsequently, they pursued a PhD in Environmental and Computing Engineering from 2000 to 2004, also at Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
