Henry P. Morse, Jr. retired as Director of Business Development and Permitting for Gas Transmission Northwest (a Transcanada Pipelines Company) in 2011. In that position Morse was responsible for business development and permitting for natural gas pipelines in the western states of the US. Prior positions at Gas Transmission Northwest included Director of Environmental, Safety, Training and Regulatory for pipelines in the northwest and Texas, Director of Information Technology, and Director of Mergers and Acquisitions.
Morse has served on various Outward Bound Boards since 1998, including a previous term on the Outward Bound USA Board. He was one of the founding Board members, and has served as Board Chair of the Northwest Outward Bound School. He also served on the Board of the Outward Bound Services Group, and as chair from 2014-2016. He currently serves on the Board of Outward Bound International, Northwest Outward Bound School, as well as the Board of Outward Bound USA. Morse has also served on the Board of his local water district, and for many years on the Board of the Fountain Valley School of Colorado, most recently as Chair from 2014-2018.
Henry Morse received his Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, from the University of Redlands, and later received a Masters of Management from the same institution. He and his wife Terry live in Lake Oswego, Oregon. They have two grown daughters.
When not involved with various Boards, Morse enjoys traveling with Terry, and remains an active outdoorsman. When the weather keeps him inside, he enjoys fine woodworking.
