Steve Mobley has a long and varied work history. Steve began their career in 1971 as a Jet Engine Mechanic in the United States Air Force. In 1988, they became a Store Manager at Weiner's Stores, where they managed staff, maximized sales, and provided customer service. In 1997, Steve became a Store Manager at FYE, where they managed staff, prepared work schedules, and assigned specific duties. In 2004, Steve became an Independent Insurance Agent at Santa Cruz Insurance Group, where they presented individual health insurance policies to clients for sale. From 2007 to 2010, Steve worked at Conn's as a Sales Associate, prospecting for new clients, submitting credit applications, and recommending merchandise. In 2010, they worked at the US Census Bureau as a Census Enumerator, conducting interviews with residents in assigned areas. Finally, from 2010 to 2012, Steve worked at Ovation Data as a Client Support and Geophysical Scanner & 9 Track Tape Operator.

Steve Mobley's education history includes attending Wayne State University from 1976 to 1978, where they did not graduate, and Kaplan University from 2010 to 2013, where they earned an Associate's degree in Information Technology, Associates; Network Security, a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Information Technology, and a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology.
