Mike Scanlon is Spectra’s Senior Vice President of Arenas and Stadiums. In his role, he oversees more than 70 arenas, stadiums, performing arts centers, theatre, and recreational facility venue management accounts throughout North America. Does he also manage nine Regional Vice Presidents and District General Managers.?Prior to his current role, Mike served as a Regional Vice President with direct oversight of 15 venues and their general managers.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, Mike has held positions as the general manager of three major league venues, including the 18,000-seat Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, home to the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers and NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers; the 20,000-seat Moda Center? (formerly Rose Garden Arena) in Portland, Ore., home to the NBA’s Portland Trailblazers; and the 18,500-seat Subaru Park (formerly Talen Energy Stadium) in Chester, Pa., home to Major League Soccer’s Philadelphia Union.?Additionally, Mike has also served as general manager at several Spectra-managed mid-size arenas in Trenton, NJ, and St. Louis, Mo., and has been directly involved in the construction, opening and operation of four new venues.
