Kalpana Dokka

Kalpana Dokka is a seasoned professional in data science and bioengineering with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as Senior Manager and Lead Data Scientist at Ovative Group since September 2020, Kalpana has previously held roles as Manager and Senior Data Scientist within the same organization. Prior to this, an Insight Data Science Fellow position was held at Insight Data Science, providing data-driven consulting services to Miraculex Inc. From January 2012 to October 2019, Kalpana served as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine, leading NIH-funded research focused on movement perception and developing predictive models related to body motion. Academic tenure also includes postdoctoral roles at Washington University in St. Louis and Baylor College of Medicine, where significant research on behavioral studies and Bayesian modeling was conducted. Kalpana holds a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
