Gerard van Santen

Gerard van Santen is a strategic advisor specializing in rural development and complex collaborations at Over Morgen since January 2021. With extensive experience dating back to 1991, Gerard has held various leadership roles including director at GLTO, manager at Sutfene, and secretary/director at Stichting Vernieuwing Gelderse Vallei, where involvement in policy advising and area-specific initiatives was prominent. Gerard's background includes research in plant pathology and project management in agricultural and environmental sectors, alongside an ongoing MBA in Food and Finance from Nyenrode Business University, complemented by an engineering degree in Plant Pathology from Wageningen University & Research. Currently, Gerard is also concluding responsibilities as a board member for Gebiedscoöperatie O-gen, addressing societal needs for ownership and participation.
