Chris Overholt

Chris Overholt is the current President & CEO at OverActive Media. Chris was previously the Chief Executive Officer at the Canadian Olympic Committee from May 2010 to September 2018.

Chris was responsible for reporting to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Olympic Committee with oversight and accountability to all COC National Sport Development programs, its Olympic Games and event operations, finance, human resources, marketing and sales, and all aspects of its commercial enterprise.

After the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games, Chris led a complete restructuring of the COC, spearheading the re-launch of the Canadian Olympic Team brand. Chris delivered record revenues, an unprecedented level of private sector support, and an optimized operational sports organization of nearly 100 supporting staff members.

Chris raised more than $500 Million in contractual revenue for the Olympic Movement in Canada. Chris established new precedents for investment levels by sponsors in all categories, leading the way with a more than 200% overall increase in top-line revenues and more than 100% lift in net revenues over 8 years.

Chris delivered a 100% increase in the COC’s direct investment in the sport community and its high-performance sport-related programs, resulting in an investment of $105-million for the benefit of Canada’s athletes, including unprecedented COC support as a funding partner of its High-Performance Sport Technical Program Own the Podium.

Chris architected the investment in the COC brand marketing department leading to the development and execution of the award-winning, ‘We are winter’ brand campaign, driving a substantial measured lift in Canadian Olympic

Chris Overholt has a Bachelor of Arts in Chris'story from Western University and an Executive General Managers Program from Harvard Business School.
