Flávia S.

Flávia S. has a diverse work experience in the food industry. Flávia started their career as a Food Chemistry Research Assistant at The Pennsylvania State University in 2013 and worked there until 2014. Flávia then joined Smithfield Foods as a Quality Assurance Technologist, followed by a promotion to Senior Quality Assurance Specialist in 2015. In 2016, Flávia joined Oversea Casing Company as a Lead Food Safety and Quality Assurance Specialist. Flávia later became the Quality Assurance Manager and is currently serving as the Director of Ecommerce for the company.

Flávia S. completed their Bachelor's Degree in Food Science at Penn State University, attending from 2009 to 2014. Flávia then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business, studying from 2020 to 2023. In addition to their formal education, Flávia has additional certifications including CPFM Food Safety Manager (HACCP) from Penn State University, PCQI Certification from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA), and SQF Certification from the Safe Food Alliance.
