Meg Alexander

Chief Strategy Officer at Ovid Therapeutics

Ms. Alexander has worked in the biopharmaceutical industry for 20 years and has played a key role in launching more than 25 new medicines – many for intractable and devastating conditions such as ALS, HIV, multiple sclerosis, rare epilepsies, Batten’s disease, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. She has advised and led campaigns for large healthcare organizations, including: Pfizer, Novartis, Amgen, Janssen, Boehringer Ingelheim, Eli Lilly, BioMarin, Nestle, and many others.

In her role as Corporate Affairs Office at Ovid, she oversees stakeholder relations including: patient community engagement, government affairs, communications, and investor relations. Prior to Ovid, she founded and led the Reputation & Risk Management Group, a division in Syneos Health, one of the world’s largest clinical research organizations, in which she grew the practice from one to 25 employees. Ms. Alexander was named a “Disruptor” and a “Rising Star” in her industry by PM360 and the Healthcare Business Women’s Association. She helped organize and marshal the biotech industry’s response to the war in Ukraine by coordinating contributions of monetary and drug resources to non-governmental organizations who were validated by the Ukrainian Ministry of Health.
