Dr. Vicky Lawson has a diverse work experience in the field of health psychology. Dr Vicky has worked as a Global Clinical Lead for Psychology at Oviva, where they previously held the position of Clinical Lead for Psychology. Dr. Lawson also has experience as a Chartered Health Psychologist in freelance roles and as an Independent Health Psychology Consultant at Weight Watchers UK. Their background includes roles as a Principal Health Psychologist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, a Psychology Physical Activity Clinical Champion at Public Health England, and a Guest Lecturer at King's College London. Additionally, they have held positions as an Associate Senior Lecturer at BPP and as a Guest Lecturer at London Metropolitan University and Genetics Alliance UK. Dr Vicky also served as a project lead at University College London.
Dr. Vicky Lawson completed their education history with a Doctorate in Health Psychology from the University of the West of England in 2012, followed by an MSc in Health Psychology from UCL in 2008. Dr Vicky later pursued a Certificate in Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders from the University of Oxford in 2016, and an MA in Anthropology of Food from SOAS University of London in 2023. Additionally, Dr. Lawson holds certifications as a Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Psychotherapist in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, and a Chartered Health Psychologist.
