Lead Android OS and Clients Engineer at Ovo Automotive

Marco Geier has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Marco started their career at Agile Binary Ltd. in 2009 as the Chief Technology Officer and worked there until 2014. During this time, they held various leadership responsibilities.

In 2014, Marco joined a Stealth Company as the Lead Android Developer. Here, they collaborated with security specialists to design client-side architecture and developed secure encrypted storage and communication solutions. Marco also extended leading Android open-source apps to support end-to-end encryption. Their role here ended in 2016.

From 2016 to 2018, Marco worked at Munity Inc. as the Android Client and OS Lead. Marco was responsible for leading and overseeing the development of Android client applications and operating systems.

In 2018, Marco joined ScreenCloud - Digital Signage as the Players Team Lead. In this role, they set up a hardware and players testing lab and implemented CI/CD and QA processes. Marco also re-designed and re-wrote the Android player app using embedded Chrome. Marco worked here until 2020.

In 2016, Marco started their own side project called overssec.io, where they served as the CEO, Architect, and Developer. Marco designed the architecture and implemented the Android app, focusing on privacy for all apps.

Most recently, Marco joined Ovo Automotive in 2020 as the Lead Android OS and Clients Engineer.

Marco Geier attended the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 1993 to 1997. During their time at KIT, they pursued a degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering and obtained a "Diplom-Ingenieur" (equivalent to a Bachelor's degree plus Master's degree). In addition, Marco holds a certification in SCJP, although specific details about the institution and the year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
