Dr Cristina Hickman

Dr. Cristina Hickman has a wealth of experience in the field of reproductive health and fertility. Dr Cristina is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Ovom, a group of reproductive health clinics that aims to provide innovative treatments and support to individuals and couples on their parenthood journey.

Prior to Ovom, Dr. Hickman founded and served as the Managing Director of Avenues.life, a company focused on empowering individuals and couples in their reproductive health. Dr Cristina also held the role of Chief Clinical Officer at Fairtility.

Dr. Hickman has extensive experience in the field of IVF and fertility clinics. Dr Cristina co-founded and co-owned Aria Fertility, a full-service IVF clinic in London, where they played multiple roles including Person Responsible, Science Director, Data Protection Officer, and Risk Officer. Dr Cristina also served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Apricity, a fertility company.

Additionally, Dr. Hickman founded IVF Professionals Limited, an ART consulting service, where they provided advisory services to numerous clinics and companies worldwide. Dr Cristina has also lectured and supervised at Imperial College London and held the position of Executive Director, International Embryology at TMRW Life Sciences, Inc.

Dr. Hickman has been actively involved in the fertility industry and served as a Scientific Representative for the British Fertility Society. Dr Cristina also held the position of Head of Embryology at The Fertility Partnership from 2013 to 2017.

Dr. Cristina Hickman has a diverse education history in the field of reproductive biology and marine biology. Dr Cristina completed their PhD in Embryology at The University of Edinburgh from 2005 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued an MSc degree in Reproduction and Fertility at the University of Aberdeen for the academic year 2003 to 2004. In the same year, they also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Mammalian Reproduction and Fertility from The Scottish Agricultural College. Dr. Hickman's undergraduate education took place at the University of Southampton, where they received a BSc (Hons) in Oceanography with Marine Biology between 2000 and 2003. Furthermore, it is known that they attended St. Paul's School in Sao Paulo, although no specific degree or field of study is indicated.
