Jaya Dorsey

Jaya Dorsey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jaya is currently working as a Senior Technical Product Lead - Composites at Owens Corning since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked as an Engagement Manager at ADL Ventures in 2021. Jaya also had a significant tenure at Johns Manville from 2017 to 2020, where they held the role of Product Engineering Lead in the Innovation & Commercialization Group. Their responsibilities included providing technical direction, managing products, and leading new product development projects. Jaya also worked as a Research & Development Associate at the University of Colorado Boulder & Colorado School of Mines from 2015 to 2017. Before that, they worked as an Expatriate at Dorsey Inc. from 2012 to 2015. Jaya's earlier experiences include roles as an R&D / Glass Process Engineer at Corning Incorporated from 2006 to 2012, a Consultant at Redstone Aerospace in 2005, and a Materials Engineer at Intel Corporation from 2002 to 2005. Jaya started their career as a Research Assistant at San Jose State University from 2000 to 2002 and the University of Manitoba from 1996 to 1999.

Jaya Dorsey holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Materials Engineering from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications in Product Management from PMHQ, LLC and Start a Business Online from LinkedIn in December 2020.
