Robert Huusken started their career as a Researcher at Akzo Nobel Resins in 1995. Robert then joined Trespa International in 1996, where they worked as a Project Leader R&D and a Business Development Engineer. During their time at Trespa, they led various projects, including the development of high-pressure laminates and improvement of UV stability of exterior coatings. In 2002, Huusken joined Owens Corning as a Product Developer, where they played a key role in developing projects from scratch to commercialization, including the successful development of the pasting mat glass nonwoven for lead acid batteries. Robert later became an Application Engineer Construction and a Senior Technical Product Lead at Owens Corning. Overall, Huusken has a strong background in product development, project leadership, and business development.
Robert Huusken earned a Master's degree in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Groningen from 1988 to 1994. Robert also completed a research project in Polymer Chemistry at Waseda University in 1994. Robert then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics at ISBW Opleiding & Training from 2000 to 2002. Later, they attended Six Sigma Qualtec from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt and gained expertise in Design for Six Sigma and statistical analysis.
