Roger Smith

Roger Smith is an experienced innovation professional currently serving as the President of the Northwest Ohio Innovation Consortium, a role focused on enhancing regional competitiveness through collaboration and technology development. Prior to this position, Roger held multiple roles at O-I from June 2010, including Discipline Lead in Packaging Technology Research & Innovation and Project Manager for Global Product Innovation, specializing in research and innovation in packaging technology for the glass container industry. Roger also brought executive leadership to Century Die Company as V.P. General Manager and Chief Technology Officer, overseeing operations and technology for the machining industry and a growing aerospace division. Additionally, Roger held several director positions at O-I HealthCare Packaging Inc, leading research and development efforts. Roger’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Toledo and an MBA from Bowling Green State University.
