Gilles Wainrib is a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at OWKIN since September 2016. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at École normale supérieure from September 2014 to September 2016, where involvement in the DATA team focused on the intersection of mathematics, neuroscience, and machine learning. Gilles Wainrib also held an Assistant Professor position at Université Paris 13 Nord from September 2011 to September 2014, teaching applied mathematics and supervising master's and PhD theses. Additionally, a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Stanford University from September 2010 to September 2011 involved research in random matrices and stochastic processes. Owkin was co-founded in 2016 by Thomas Clozel, MD, a clinical research doctor and former assistant professor in clinical hematology, and by Gilles Wainrib, Ph.D., an academic pioneer in the field of Artificial Intelligence in biology.
