Gilles Wainrib

Gilles Wainrib is a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at OWKIN since September 2016. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at École normale supérieure from September 2014 to September 2016, where involvement in the DATA team focused on the intersection of mathematics, neuroscience, and machine learning. Gilles Wainrib also held an Assistant Professor position at Université Paris 13 Nord from September 2011 to September 2014, teaching applied mathematics and supervising master's and PhD theses. Additionally, a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Stanford University from September 2010 to September 2011 involved research in random matrices and stochastic processes. The academic journey began as a PhD Student at Ecole Polytechnique from June 2007 to July 2010, focusing on interdisciplinary research between mathematics and biology. Gilles Wainrib holds an Engineer’s Degree in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Biology, and Economics from École Polytechnique, attained between 2003 and 2006.
