Meriem Sefta

Meriem Sefta is the current Chief Diagnostics Officer at Owkin. Meriem has also held the position of Chief Data & Clinical Solutions Officer and Head of Partnerships at the company. Prior to their work at Owkin, Sefta was a Consultant at AEC Partners and a Research Engineer / PhD Candidate at Institut Curie - Research Centre. Meriem has also worked as a Mathematic teaching assistant at Université Paris-Sud and as a Research Assistant at the Center for Environmental Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Meriem Sefta attended Lycee Rochambeau French International School from 1993 to 2004. Meriem then attended Ecole polytechnique from 2006 to 2009, where they studied biology, chemistry, and computer science. Meriem attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Master of Science in biological/biosystems engineering. Finally, they attended Institut Curie from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in computational biology / cancer biology.
